More than ten years after launching its Sheerframe window system in Malaysia, L.B Plastics continues successfully winning business in the region.
Sheerframe windows have been fitted into this palatial mansion in Kuala Lumpur, owned by a major Malaysian timber magnate.
Made and installed by Port Klang-based Windoor Maker, the Sheerframe windows feature a special PVC formulation, developed by The Litchfield Group, of which L.B. Plastics is a part, to cope with the high UV levels experienced in the Far East and Australasia.
The two-storey mansion features a range of window styles - including curved frames, curved bays, multi-opening light casements and patio doors.
"The Malaysian economy has made a good recovery following the Asian instability in the late 1990s, and there continues to be a demand for Sheerframe windows in both newbuild and refurbishment projects. Its excellent thermal performance, coupled with the special compound formulation for UV tolerance, sets Sheerframe apart from other systems which have proved less successful in the region," says Sheerframe product director David Strang.
